How to buy this
Nice, I like the chart table especially. 😊
Vackert filmat jag hoppas kunna göra detsamma en dag
No gloves ? Wow.
Rossiyadan topsa bo'ladimi? Bu stanokni qayerdan topsa bo'ladi?
Got to love the way the guy gives it a tap at the anvil at the end!
This is beautiful, but I thought GB axes had a medium carbon body with a high carbon edge forge welded in. Am I wrong?
Fantastic......👍😀🇸🇪
Hi Par. Merry Christmas. I took a few moments to watch your video again and I forwarded it. I luv it. It's the complete opposite of summer and just as beautiful in it's own, unique way. Best regards, AL Vancouver.
I love this series, you are a great photographer and make sailing look effortless. Its a beautiful boat
You da man.
I've seen a few guys at this factory on video now. This guy is by far the best. No wasted heat. One tap at the end. Master.
Do you know his name initials?
@@RaduMichael no I don't. But just look at his skill! You can tell he does not have to think anymore. It is "flow". That expert state of mind. I hope he is still alive and well.
@@RaduMichael looks like A somthing
It's musical
Hi how are you man
This is truely the evolution of “hand forged”. One heat. Perfect. Any blacksmith throughout history would rather this machine to ease their work.
tim cocis There’s almost nothing “hand forged” here, it’s a hot pressing. Although the axes are good. 😉
It's hand forged, the control is still by hand and eye under those dies. The process is mechanical, but it is not automated. It's not possible to get such a clean product by hand or sledge. One heat man, c'mon. Credit given where it's due.
Good job
You just made my day! Thank you
Awesome footage. I love my axes even more after seeing this
Where Exactly is this Beautiful Village Paer ? It looks just like Lake Placid, N.Y. Where I grew up..and experienced 55 below zero Weather during a Few Winters and Much Snow..Would have Liked to See a Pair of Slippers ..and a Warm fire in the Stove onboard a Certain Colin Archer..I have missed seeing. 🇺🇸⚓️🐾☕️☠️👽🇨🇮
Hi Michael, The snowfall is in Luleå (not -a) at 66° N in Sweden, close under the Arctic Circle. 19°C below and beautiful winter right now. Sjöa (not o) is filmed in BC Canada.
thanks for sharing, best thing to do when retired
I want to buy this machine
Tôi muốn mua chiếc máy này ?
Прямо танец какой-то
Takes me 2-3 hours of solid work to make a same axe like this,by handforging! :D
Since so many People seem to love and overhype GB, i advise you to search for Müller Hammerwerk Austria. They make tools since 1675. Ask and i explain why i think they are not that good.
If it's good enough for Bilbo Baggins, it's good enough for me. Plus it's mobile. Hope you enjoyed BC.
Fascinating snapshot of another way of life. I am 71 - lost my wife to bowel cancer 19 years ago. I have my own house, but I have been toying with the idea of selling up and living on a houseboat on the river Murray, here in Australia. It is common in this part of the world. Many thanks for showing me a window on how you have adapted to this alternative lifestyle. And, best regards from me, here in South Australia.
Thanks Border Collie, sailing and the outdoors has been a big part of my life since I was 6. My son Johan picked up the lifestyle and passed Norfolk Isl during the night enroute South Africa on a yacht delivery.
Hi Paer, I have watched this video several times over the past few months. It has a wonderful feel to it. You are a skilled photographer. Sjoa is a gorgeous ship. I sail the west coast of BC on my C&C 35 Mk3. I must do a coddiwomple this summer. Best regards, AL Vancouver, BC.
Thanks Al for your comment. Yes, it was a nice sail. I have done many "Coddiwomples" over the years. Most of them as lazy as this one as they were sailed in Swedish smother waters. It is a good way to enjoy sailing. Good luck with your coddiwomple. You have the most magnificant coast/ archipellago in the world.
Väldigt fin film, tack för att du delar med dig. Luleå från sin bästa sida:-)

This is beautiful.
I have 5 Gransfors Bruk axes. Love them. Thank you for making them!
Paer: Please post more videos! They are wonderful.
🤝👍👍👍
Beautiful
It's the reward for the dark winters at 66 North
Is there any chance you'll post more videos?
I have moved back home to the Arctic Circle. Yes, there will be more videos mainly from Swedish Lapland.
@@PwDmj Wonderful!
Very pretty town .....
This is so satisfying. Such a beautiful and simple place to live. I bet that boat is super cozy to be on during cold nights.
What an amazing thing to watch.
Oh man thats forging press or whatever its called with all the dies on it at once so you never have to change equipment is amazing
That is a gorgeous boat , skip . Coddiwomple , i like that , must try and remember it
Hi Paer, Another great video. Nicely done. You certainly explored the BC coast during the 5 years you were there. Very inspirational. I am planning a cruise to the southern Gulf island during the Christmas break. No waterfalls but there will be gorgeous deserted anchorages. Best regards. AL.
Paer, that is stunning. I am feeling inspired to take my C&C 35 out for a few days over the Christmas break.
Al, yes Scandinavia by the Arctic Circle is also a nice place on the globe. Dark at the moment (<1 hour sunshine) After winter solstice every day is seven minutes longer. Is there a reason why you should not sail into the New Year? Happy Solstice, Pär
Hi Paer, It was a pleasure to watch your videos. I have watched 2 so far. Your Colin Archer is clearly in bristol condition. I also sail the west coast of BC aboard my C&C 35. We are fortunate to have one of the best cruising areas in the world. I will watch for you in the Gulf Islands. AL Vancouver, BC.
Thank you for these words. And yes, you have the most magnificent cost in the world.
Hi Paer. Thanks for the reply. Are you still on the west coast of BC?
@@alhester7159 I'm sad to say no. She gave me five + years along the Central Coast but I'm back in Sweden.
Hi Paer, I'm sorry to hear you are no longer on the west coast of BC but Sweden and the surrounding area is beautiful as well. Are you still sailing? Have you sold your Colin Archer? I hope those questions are not too personal. I apologize if they are. Best regards. AL.
Paer thank you for the inspiration your videos beautifully deliver. I am moving to BC to retire and live aboard full time to cruise the Salish Sea and the Inside Passage year round. I hope you continue your short videos. Be well dear friend.
I would like to know the name of the machine .. is it possible ?
I don't know that. You can contact Gransfors Bruk
If I remember correctly I read somewhere it was custom made by Arboga about 70-80 years ago. Something like 20 ton multi shaped die hammers moving up and down together. So they had to built the factory near a hydro dam.
this is hell of an editing! amazing job! cinematographer's thanx!
Thanks Yevgeniy. But the beat is given!
